چکیده

Today, many teachware management and e-learning systems are still based on the ordinary file-system. This stands in conflict with typical requirements found in teachware applications: multiple views on and adaptivity of the course material, support of reuse, low redundancy. In this paper, we present a fragmentation-based generic approach to the loss-less storage of XML teachware documents which supports the efficient retrieval and reconstruction of teachware modules and can be adapted to the particularities of the individual application domain. The storage model is based on a general meta-modeling architecture for teachware that addresses the similarities of different domains of application while at the same time allowing to meet the specific needs of a particular domain. The teachware data model serves as a platform for the specification of fragmentation strategies suitable to the specific application domain and even the individual user profile.

Apply Uncertainty in Document-Oriented Database (MongoDB) Using F-XML

As moving to big data world where data is increasing in unstructured way with high velocity, there is a need of data-store to store this bundle amount of data. Traditionally, relational databases are used which are now not compatible to handle this large amount of data, so it is needed to move on to non-relational data-stores. In the current study, we have proposed an extension of the Mongo...

Fuzzy XML data modeling with the UML and relational data models

Information imprecision and uncertainty exist in many real-world applications and for this reason fuzzy data modeling has been extensively investigated in various data models. Currently, huge amounts of electronic data are available on the Internet, and XML has been the de facto standard of information representation and exchange over the Web. This paper focuses on fuzzy XML data modeling, whic...

An XML Storage System for Object-Oriented/Object-Relational DBMSs

As XML has become popular as a document standard in the World Wide Web, a lot of research has been done on the XML storage systems, which store and manage XML documents using existing DBMSs. Most of the research activities, however, assume a relational DBMS instead of an object-oriented/object-relational (OO/OR) DBMS, which offers more powerful modeling capabilities. In this paper, we present t...

Updating XML Views Of Relational Data

XML has emerged as the standard data format for Internet-based business applications. In many bussiness settings, a relational database management system(RDBMS) will serve as the storage manager for data from XML documents. In such a system, once the XML data is shredded and loaded into the storage system, XML queries posed against these (now virtual) XML documents are processed by translating ...
